Welcome to ASILA

The world of Workers Compensation, Rehabilitation and OH&S is forever changing and becoming more complex.  

In most states of Australia there are self-insurance associations who are dedicated to sharing information and knowledge and supporting each other to improve their service delivery.

As an executive group, we recognised there was a need for a national voice.  A place where we could come together to discuss our collective issues and help drive our industry into the future.

We also recognised there was a need for individual people in our industry to join a group to help with their professional development.  To improve their skills and knowledge and become connected to a world that is bigger than their current role.

So, we developed ASILA.

A place where individuals can join the group and get more out of their industry.  To hear from experts within Australia and internationally, to learn more about the industry and grow their own brand.

It’s also why we opened membership to anyone working in our industry, not just those from self-insured organisations.  We know being a Claims delegate or a Return-to-Work Coordinator or a Health and Safety representative can be a lonely job.  The insurers don’t really help and that Learning and Development can be expensive and often doesn’t hit the mark.  So, we welcome you… we want you to grown and enjoy our benefits.

2025 has been our development and foundational year for ASILA.  We needed to build a solid platform to deliver the best benefits to our members.  We are excited to have our executive committee come together to represent:

·      The Self Insurers Association of Victoria (SIAV) 

·      The Self Insurers of South Australia (SISA)

·      The New South Wales Workers Compensation Self Insurers Association

·      The Association of Self-Insured Employers of Queensland.  (ASIEQ)

·      The Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Licensees Association (Comcare Licensees) (SRCLA)

This team of dedicated professionals who work every day to enhance our industry and are looking forward to sharing their extensive knowledge with the industry.
